Our client, one of the leading agricultural manufacturers in North America requires a Network Security Specialist with diverse infrastructure experience and skills.  As a member of a highly specialized infrastructure team the Network Security Specialist will take ownership for all security aspects of the company's highly sophisticated IT infrastructure.  The Network Security Specialist will be working in an infrastructure environment supporting an ERP system (JD Edwards ERP).  The NS Specialist will lead projects including migrations, conversions, and upgrades in a production environment.


The senior IT professional for this role should have a profile that reflects the following criteria:

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science
  • Cisco/VMWare/Security Certifications or equivalent
  • 5 or more years of infrastructure support experience
  • Networking expertise and knowledge of Cisco networking gear (Nexus line switches, MDS) and managing Cisco IOS (Virtual Port Channels, VLANs, Trunking, ACLs)
  • Expertise in VMware virtualization products and Storage technologies
  • Network experience focusing on WANs, LANs, server hardware and security hardware and software, virtual environments and storage arrays
  • Experience with Fortinet preferably,or CheckPoint, Palo Alto, or similar vendor
  • Experience managing projects and a track record of delivering projects on time
  • Experience in ITIL practices for incident/problem/change management is an asset
